Learn to Change the Footer, Read Add Google Maps and Change the Logo of Your Website

Everyone is well known with the fact that the footer of a website is lying at the bottom (just like your feet) of the website. As you observed that many website's footers display a message to your visitors, contact information, and a google map. Now we are going to create all these three in this article.
In the following image you can see that in the footer section there are three columns i.e., setting footer widgets, contact us and our location. We will write our introduction, contact address and location all for our website. To do this following these steps carefully.

Note That: The footer displays up on each and every single page of your website.

Change the Footer of a Website

First, you have to open admin panel of your website by visiting www.yoursite.com/wp-admin.
Then in the dashboard of panel follow these steps:
1    Click the Appearance button.                                            
2     Select Widgets.

3   On the right side of widgets area where you find First Footer Widget Area click the down-arrow to the right.

4  In the left-side Available Widgets box you can see there is Text widget, drag it into the First Footer Widget Area.

How Can You Drag Widget?
The process of drag the widget is by clicking and holding the mouse down then moving your mouse and releasing to the desired location.

5     Next you can see that a text box should open up. In this box type in a title and write something, you want to show in your website, in the area below.
6    Now check the box marked Automatically add paragraphs so that Wordpress will build paragraphs instead of  bunching the text together.
7     Click the Save button.
8     Click the Close button.
9     Repeat Steps 1 - 8  in order to add the Second Footer Widget Area.  Now this time we write down our contact information.
Important:
Don't forget to include Step 6 so your text is spaced correctly and equally!

Next we going to add a google map to our Third Footer Widget Area.
10  In order to add google map repeat Steps 1 - 4 for the Third Footer Widget Area, and then write in Location as a title.

11   For google maps, open a new page and visit to: maps.google.com.
12   Write down your location, which you want to show on your web, in the search bar and click the search button.
13   After enter the search you will see a link button now click that button .
14   Now click the Customize and preview embedded map link.

15   In the map size, select the Custom button.
16   In the Width write in 280, where it says Height write 140.
Note That:
By clicking the + and – bar, you can also drag the map to center it or zoom in .
17   Select the entire code (where is says 'Copy and Paste this HTML to embed in your website' ) and copy it.

Again go back to your website Wordpress  admin panel.
18  In the Widgets Area and paste the code into Third Footer Widget Area.
19  In this code Delete everything after the </iframe> tag in the code.

20  Click the Save button.
21  Click the Close button.

       
Now visit your website. Very amazing! it should have the footer widget areas complete and the map should be showing on your website.

Change The Logo and Phone Number

Next we are moving to change the Logo and Phone number on your website.  If you have not yet built a logo, don’t take tension. We’ll be explain it in next article where we’ll walk you through making a logo from scratch.

For the time being we learn how to change a logo. Again move to the WordPress admin dashboard and follow these steps.                                                        
1   Click the Appearance button.
2   Select Theme Options.                                      
3   Now this time click on General Settings.
4   In the Custom Logo area, click the Upload Image button.

5   Select the logo of your website to upload.
6   Click Open/OK.

Now your website is shinning with the logo you should go to your website and take a look on logo. Next we add the phone number in the same window i.e., Appearance>>Theme Options>>General Settings.

7   In the Top Right Contact Details section Write: Call Me: (310) 743-3190 (This is just for an exercise, you’ll use your phone number).
8    In the Contact No. section enter your phone number, this is so that when people are using a mobile phone to visit your webpage, it will call automatically from their phone.
9    By scroll all the way down and click the Save All Changes button.

                                                                              
Again visit your website and it should now look like this:

How to Delete Web Pages in WordPress?

During reading this article and making practice with your website you may have noticed the Sample Page on your website, just hanging out there on the menu.

Let’s delete the Sample Page and you can follow these steps for any page you want to eliminate.

                                                    
1    Click the Pages button.
2    Hover the mouse over the sample page and then select Trash.
Note That:
Accidentally, if you delete any page which you would not want to delete, don't worry, just go to the trash and restore it.

Once again visit your website this time your website should look like this without Sample Page in the Menu:
